The Gifts of Attitudes
The Gifts of Attitude
And Perspective
Joan Momberger
January 2010
It's Tuesday and it's a sunny day but rain is expected this evening.
The calm part of Spring is here... teasing the weeds before the winds come.
You know, attitude is an odd gift and grows into appreciation of perspective as we age.
When I was in my teens,
I was so sure of everything except if my hair was styled right
or I had the latest sweater in the right color.
When I was in my twenties,
I thought death was so far away and I could risk anything but then my Father died.
When I was in my thirties,
I learned the lesson that you aren't your profession rather your profession allows you to be what you are.
When I was in my forties,
I re-lived much of my twenties with the hope of getting it right
(I think that's called mid-life crisis). ;-)
I'm in the last year of my fifties now,
and starting to relax a bit and and just beginning to understand the value of wisdom.
Wisdom still eludes me more often than I like but at least I can laugh about it now.
Who knows what I will find in the decades ahead?

The fact is, I really don't care
because I know "it" will be found and I'm looking forward to whatever "it" is.
