The Hand

What is the big deal about a hand?

Even if Leonardo was asking me to show him my secrets, how I could make hands so perfect, still, it is not a big deal.

In the Adam's family, that was really a hand.

Anyway, what has a hand got to do with Alzheimer and caretakers?

Instead of meandering, let us look at a hand.

I can see that something is very misleading, can you se what it is?

You se it?

When you look at the hand, you would say that it has got 5 fingers. Wrong! It has not got 5 fingers. Which is going to strain my graphic capacities, showing a hand sideways.

Quite obviously the Hand is made of two different tools.

Part one is obviously made for caress, for stroking, for soothing,

Part two is quite a different story, is it a grabber, is it a handlock, is it part of a handcuff?

Rather a strange tool, you look at it, on one side you find everything that is nice, that is love, on the opposite side you find strength, brutality, demand, oppression. Yet, if you do not have the left side and the right side, you got nothing.

Look at your hand, yes look, look at your hand and look at your future:

Has it never stuck you as strange strange that we should have 5 fingers?

Nothing in the human body goes by "5". So why the hand?

The answer is that we do not have 5 fingers, it only looks as if we have 5 fingers.

Under dissection, you should find the traces of fossil finger memories.

This is rather normal as the hand was not intended as a grabbing instrument but as a swimming instrument, that we have therefore up to 9 fins that later changed into fingers.

So why do we quarrel? Both of them are defending themselves, adrenaline is high.

Look at that hand, it is both the negotiation hand, it points at Sophia's head, trying to get her reason to take charge of her emotions. Fat luck of that! At the same time it is the bud of the fist to come, should the negotiations fail.

That hand/arm, does it not already announces the hand holding a knife?Sophia's Emotions have convinced her reason that she is in danger and that she must protect herself by destroying the threat.

This is a representation of our emotional pulses and strength

And to govern that, what do we have, our reason who is that feeble driver pretending that it will be able to direct the strength of the elephant emotions.

And today I am optimistic, sometimes I draw the reason/driver either turned the other way around or totally drunk.

Yet it brings to surface negative emotioonal memories, my students asking me to explain which animal I was trying to represent?

The Drama

I was just the ordinary myself.

Then comes this idiot and starts making unpleasant coments!

Well, you know me, not the man to start a fight, but I had to put forward my arguments

There are people with whom you cannot and should not discuss.
