SOUNDS: The sound of:


a wooden spoon in a mixing bowl
rain
water running
creeks
waterfalls
birds singing
the "crack" that limbs make, when they have been covered with sleet and it is melting
popcorn popping
chicken frying in a skillet
thunderstorms
kittens purring
a lover's groans
children laughing
adults laughing, especially men with deep voices
music -
lively
sad
sentimental
haunting
inspiring c
coffee perking
falls leaves rustling under my feet
the crunch of snow when walked on
cracking and spewing of a fire in the fireplace
stew bubbling on the stove
ocean waves crashing a lover's gentle, sweet words
woodpecker, pecking on a tree
words that:
have meaning - "I love you"
have compassion - "I care about you; l'm sorry you hurt; let's talk"
describe beauty - "soft/gentle/swaying"
have comfort - "It'll be better soon"
make love - "My precious; my special one"
inspire - "You can do it!"
express pain - "I hate; I can't forgive!"
forgive - "I understand; l'm sorry"
take a chance - "l'm afraid, but willing to try again."

the "crack" of a baseball when it's hit with the wooden bat

SIGHTS:

A camp stream, with swirling water; water-covered rocks; crawdads; miniature waterfalls and
whirl pools
a mother holding her child
a couple holding hands -
in the movies
walking through a mall
walking on the beach ...... or ANYWHERE

a man with his arm gently wrapped around a woman
a woman holding onto a man's arm
someone wiping the brow of an ill loved one
a man reaching over and kissing the forehead of the woman he loves
a man holding the small hand of a child
smoke coming from the chimney of a mountain cabin
an old couple walking arm in arm, helping each other
the smile of -
your child, especially baby's FIRST smile
your mom or dad or grandparent
a friend when they see you
a lover
an elderly person for whom you've done some small act of kindness
the first crocus peeping through the snow the very first bloom that comes out on the tomato plant you've planted/watered/cared for

SMELLS

Bacon cooking when you're out camping
fresh coffee brewing
a freshly bathed and powdered baby
home-baked bread
musty old basements
my grandmother's house
my parent's house
a lover's body
a rose
light, fresh cologne

FEELINGS:

a loved one's hand in yours
a baby's silky skin
a friend's hand on your arm
a warm toboggan on a cold day
the heat when sitting in front of a fire
a silk blouse or shirt... or touching someone who is wearing one
a hug in times of trouble
putting your head on a loved one's shoulder
a warm embrace
cuddling in the middle of the night
